Whilst promoting the #SaveHannibal petition we were contacted and informed about this great horror campaign.
In 2013 the remake of Carrie hit cinema’s worldwide and instantly became a hit amongst the horror community. However the studio cut out 40-45 minutes of footage in the editing room (when the theatrical release date was pushed seven months back). Only 12 minutes of these deleted scenes have ever been released on Blu-ray.
Jared who contacted us stated that
“The studios are considering a potential release for October 2015 (according to a fan who spoke with a customer-care representative) – and I, myself, have been told (by customer-care reps) that the release of an Extended Director’s Cut is being considered by the Marketing Executives after seeing the amount of signatures on the petition and receiving calls from interested fans. But they need to see more demand. We’ve been working unbelievably hard and it’s been a deep devotion among us to see this Extended Director’s Cut finally released to fans”.
The petition has been gaining followers since its creation in December 2013 but needs more signatures. With a target of 20,000 signatures we at Indie Mac User want to help make this happen!
