With less than one week to go until Doctor Who makes a spectacular return to screens, a new cast announced for Series 12!
The Inbetweeners star James Buckley is set to appear in the upcoming series when it returns in 2020.
James is no stranger to television screens and has a wealth of credits ranging from White Gold, Zapped and The Inbetweeners.
Speaking ahead of his Doctor Who appearance, James Buckley said:
“It was surreal to be on such an iconic show and I’m really happy to be part of something so well loved. Hope everyone enjoys it!”
Matt Strevens, Executive Producer said:
“It was a real thrill to welcome James to the cast, his dramatic and comic talents are put to fine use in this action packed episode.”
Also previously announced as starring in Series 12 are Anjli Mohindra, Laura Fraser, Goran Višnjić, Robert Glenister and two British national treasures, Stephen Fry and Sir Lenny Henry CBE!
As Jodie Whittaker takes charge of the TARDIS once again, the Doctor will be joined by her friends Tosin Cole (Ryan), Mandip Gill (Yaz) and Bradley Walsh (Graham). Chris Chibnall returns as Showrunner with Matt Strevens as Executive Producer.
Add to that some familiar faces including the Judoon and the Cybermen, series twelve is set to be an epic action packed rollercoaster for everyone, just don’t stray too far from behind the sofa!
