Ahead of the latest installment Bill & Ted Face The Music – it has been announced that previous installment Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is being released on 4K BluRay for the first time. A new poster by artist Carlos Dattoli has been created especially for the 4K release. There will also be a limited re-release in cinemas and Drive-ins.

Directed by Stephen Herek, and written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon (who also wrote Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey and the upcoming Bill & Ted Face The Music, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure sees Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves’ slacker buddies travel through time in order to complete their school history report – coming across Napoleon, Freud, Abraham Lincoln, and all kinds of historical babes along the way.

The 4K restoration will be available from 10th August in 4K UHD Blu-ray, limited edition Steelbook, Blu-ray, DVD and digital download.

As a result of Christopher Nolan’s new film ‘Tenet’ being moved to August 12th by Warner Bros. (originallly July 17th before being pushed back to 31st July….) MGM has decided to push Bill & Ted Face the music to August 28th 2020 to avoid a clash between these two major releases.
