Earlier this year we reported that the theme for the 10th season of American Horror Story might need to change amid production shutdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Show creator Ryan Murphy told TheWrap his original idea for the coming installment of his FX anthology has to be filmed during the warmer months.
Today Murphy has given new details regarding the new production date for the upcoming season.
Although an official title/theme was never revealed for season 10 – from the cast teaser released earlier this year it is highly likely the show would have featured a beach.
Season 10 of American Horror Story was about to begin shooting in May when TV and film productions were halted and delayed across the United States — and plenty of others around the world — over concerns about spreading COVID-19.
American Horror Story has been renewed through to Season 13 at FX, so Murphy definitely at least has the option to swap things around if he wants to.
The cast for the upcoming season which is still unnamed will include series newcomer Macaulay Culkin. Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross & Finn Wittrock will be joining the cast for this season of the horror anthology.
