Original Star Wars actress passes away

Original Star Wars actress Penny McCarthy has passed away.

McCarthy was a former production assistant who worked as an assistant auditor and a hand double for Carrie Fisher in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.

She also played a Cantina Band Member, a Jawa, and Kardue’sai’Malloc in A New Hope.

The news was confirmed by Imperial Signings this morning.
