Screenwriter Kevin Williamson has confirmed on twitter that filming has wrapped on the upcoming fifth instalment of the ‘Scream’ franchise; titled simply ‘Scream’.
‘Scream’ is set for a Jan 14th 2022 release date.
Scream 5 will see the return of legacy cast member Neve Campbell will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox, reprising her role as Gale Weathers, and David Arquette, reprising his role as Dewey Riley.
Marley Shelton is also heading back to Woodsboro, reprising the role of Deputy Judy Hicks that she first played in Wes Craven’s Scream 4.
As previously announced, franchise newcomers Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera and Jack Quaid will also being starring in the upcoming sequel.
