Andy Muschietti (IT, IT: Chapter Two) who is directing ‘The Flash’ for DC/Warner Bros has teased the return of actor Michael Keaton as Batman/Bruce Wayne in a new instagram post showing a close-up image of the 1989-style Batman suit… with a bloody new makeover.
Insight Editions have released details of a new film ‘coffee table’ book titled ‘Kevin Smith’s Secret Stash: The Definitive Visual History‘ which will of-course explore the life and career of film-maker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back). The book features a foreword from Smith’s longtime friend and co-star Jason Mewes as well as testmonials/writing from Smith’s longtime producer Scott Mosier; director J.J. Abrams; actors Ben Affleck, Mark Hamill, Seth Rogen and Justin Long; and Smith’s wife Jennifer Schwalbach-Smith and daughter Harley Quinn Smith, among others. Michael Keaton has been confirmed to reprise his role as Batman in The Flash, almost 30 years after he last played the role.
DC Comics/Warner Bros have confirmed that Zack Snyders Justice League will available in UK on March 18th 2021 (The same date as its US debut on HBO MAX). It will be available on Sky Cinema and partner streaming service Now TV.
Deadline are reporting that a new actress has been cast to play the DC hero ‘Supergirl’ in the upcoming ‘Flash‘ movie. This marks the first appearance of the charecter in DC’s Cinematic Universe although she does feature in The CW’s hit show ‘Supergirl’ (played by Mellissa Benoist). Chosen from over 425 actresses who auditioned, Daytime Emmy nominee Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) has scored the feature role as Supergirl. The Boston, MA born-Columbian actress will be first Latina Supergirl ever in DC’s history.
In a social media post today Zack Snyder confirmed that the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be available worldwide on VOD on the same day as its previously announced debut on HBO Max in the U.S. on March 18th 2021 (with the exception of China, France, and Japan, where the release dates are TBD). Specific details of the services where the film will be available internationally are still to be confirmed but are expected to be released soon.
