Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot Leatherface actor announced

As we previously reported Fede Alvarez will be producing a new take on Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Legendary.

On a recent podcast Alvarez confirmed that the new movie is indeed a sequel to Hooper’s original classic and that the movie is set many years after the events of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, with Leatherface now a much older man.

Today is has been revealed who will be playing Leatherface.

As we previously reported Fede Alvarez will be producing a new take on Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Legendary.

On a recent podcast Alvarez confirmed that the new movie is indeed a sequel to Hooper’s original classic and that the movie is set many years after the events of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, with Leatherface now a much older man.

The character of Sally Hardesty the sole survivor in the 1974 movie will be appearing in the film.

Speaking on Bloody Disgusting’s The Boo Crew Podcast this week, Alvarez confirmed that the new movie is indeed a sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original classic, as reports suggested.

Alvarez also revealed that the movie is set many years after the events of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, with Leatherface now a much older man.

New ‘Texas Chainsaw’ film coming from ‘Evil Dead’ Director

Bloody Disgusting has reported that Fede Alvarez; who directed the 2013 remake of Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead as well as 2016 hit horror Don’t Breathe will produce a new film in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. It is not yet known who will write or direct this new film and Fede is attached only to produce at the moment.
