Sony Pictures will move the release of ‘Morbius’ by three months, the studio said on Monday. The film, part of Sony’s Spider-Man cinematic universe (not to be confused with Disney’s MCU), will debut on April 1, 2022 instead of on Jan. 28.
Sony has postponed the theatrical release of Morbius, the comic book thriller starring Jared Leto.

Sony Pictures has pushed back its two untitled Spider-Man sequels for several months as Hollywood studios continue to update their release schedules due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sony’s Venom sequel has delayed its big screen debut. The film was expected to hit theaters Oct. 2, 2020 and will instead launch eight months later on June 25, 2021.
Also revealed today is the sequels official title.
Universal Pictures is having to change up its upcoming release calendar, setting new dates for Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru and Sing 2 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
