It was announced earlier this year that the 1998 slasher film Urban Legend and the two sequels that followed are getting a new limited edition Blu-Ray release from 88 Films In the UK for the first time, completely uncut.

Urban Legend trilogy getting special edition Blu-Ray release

Urban Legend is a 1998 slasher film directed by Jamie Blanks, written by Silvio Horta, and starring Jared Leto, Alicia Witt, Rebecca Gayheart, and Tara Reid, and is the first installment in the Urban Legend trilogy.

Its plot focuses on a series of murders on the campus of a private New England university, all of which appear to be modeled after popular urban legends. In addition to its younger cast, the film features supporting performances from Robert Englund, Loretta Devine, John Neville, and Brad Dourif.

The series of three films is now getting a new limited edition Blu-Ray release from 88 Films In the UK for the first time, completely uncut.

Review: Scream, Queen: My Nightmare on Elm Street

In 1985 just one year since New Line Cinema released it’s franchise starting horror hit A Nightmare on Elm Street the studio released a highly anticipated sequel.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge was directed by Jack Sholder and written by David Chaskin and follows Jesse Walsh (Mark Patton) a teenager who begins having recurring nightmares about Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) after moving into the former home of Nancy Thompson the final girl and original NOES scream queen from the first film.

New Line had another commercial success on their hands but had unleashed the ‘gayest’ horror blockbuster ever – which wasn’t helped by its campy tagline “The Man of Your Dreams is Back”!!!! Continue reading

Support Indie Film – Harvest Moon (2017)

Savage Beast Films has launched pre-production of its latest feature HARVEST MOON; and has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise additional funding for the thriller, set to shoot in Telluride, Colorado.
