Former Batwoman star Ruby Rose (they/she pronouns) has made a series of allegations about their time on the CW series on social media — including that they were forced off the show.
In an Instagram Story Rose shared on Wednesday, they claimed that rather than leaving the show of their own choice at the end of season one, Rose was forced off. The actor also said they were forced back to work just 10 days after a serious surgery and that working conditions on set were unsafe, resulting in serious injuries to crew members. Continue reading
In a new statement Actor Noel Clarke has said he’s “deeply sorry” for some of his actions and will seek professional help, but has again “vehemently” denied sexual misconduct. Canadian actor Peter Outerbridge has been cast to play villain Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask in the second season of DC/CW show Batwoman. Outerbridge is known for his roles in Suicide Squad, Saw VI and Lucky Number Slevin. He recently appeared in recurring roles on Orphan Black, 12 Monkeys and The Expanse.
Following the departure of titular lead Ruby Rose and the subsequent addition of a new lead character The CW’s show Batwoman has now cast Wallis Day to take over the role of Kate Kane (AKA Batwoman) that was established by Rose in season one.
J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is developing a darker reboot of DC Comics Constantine for HBO Max with Guy Bolton attached to write.
Following the surprise departure of Ruby Rose from Batwoman at the end of The CW superhero drama’s first season, the show has opted to create a new character to play Batwoman rather than recast Rose’s charecter of Kate Kane (a cousin of Bruce Wayne). It has now confirmed that actress Javica Leslie has been cast in the lead role from Season 2 and moving forward.
