Universal Pictures have released a new teaser clip from ‘Candyman’; the reboot of Clive Barker horror classic; produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out, US) with Jason Blum for his studio Blumhouse (in association with MGM); and directed by Nia DaCosta (Top Boy, Crossing the Line).
The long-running horror franchise The Purge is set to continue this year with a new entry. Up to this point, things have remained extremely hush hush about what Blumhouse Productions and Universal Pictures have in store for us on Purge night this time around.
However we have been given our first insight into this latest instalment with the reveal of the films titles.
Universal Pictures was set to bring a horror icon back to life on June 12, 2020 with the release Candyman.
This installment will be a direct sequel to the original 1992 film and has been described as a spiritual sequel.
Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic that’s forced cinemas across the world to shut down, Universal will no longer be releasing Candyman on that date.
