Emmy and Tony-winning actor and comedian Neil Patrick Harris joins Doctor Who.

Harris, American star of stage and screen, has joined the cast of Doctor Who and is currently filming scenes set to air in 2023 as part of the show’s 60th anniversary.

Russell T Davies, Showrunner said

“It’s my huge honour to open our studio doors for the mighty Neil Patrick Harris… but who, why, what is he playing?  You’ll just have to wait.  But I promise you, the stuff we’re shooting now is off the scale.  Doctor beware!”


David Tennant and Catherine Tate have been announced to be featuring in scenes that are due to air in 2023 to coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney has also been announced to be featuring in the 60th anniversary celebrations.

This news follows afters the BBC announced Ncuti Gatwa will be the next actor to take on the iconic role of the ‘The Doctor’ in Doctor Who and will become the 14th Doctor following the departure of Jodie Whittaker.
